International Marco Polo Festival in solidarity with Ukraine.

The Marco Polo International Song and Wine Festival was founded after the liberation of the Republic of Croatia in 1996. It was created as a symbol of peace in honor of freedom. In honor of Marco Polo, who in the 13th century stopped the hordes of evil that ravaged Europe and Asia and left behind horrific scenes. At this time, when the people of Ukraine are living their darkest hours, and many are forced to leave their lives, their work and art, with the song “Let the whole world be a song” we express our support not only to Ukraine but to the whole world. We want a world ruled by music, not weapons. So far we have celebrated life with song and wine, but from now on we want to defy war and the reckless moves of any leader of any nation with even more love and enthusiasm. War is not the solution. It is the most brutal way to achieve any goal. No one has the right to endanger someone’s life for the sake of interest and politics. We are in the 21st century, we need to talk, talk and talk.

We want to express our support and solidarity with our Ukrainian colleagues, artists, cultural actors and all those who are suffering in this senseless war. We call for peace. “Let the whole world be a song”!

Međunarodni Marco Polo festival u znak solidarnosti s Ukrajinom.

Nitko nema pravo ugrožavati nečiji život radi interesa i politike. Mi smo u 21. stoljeću, trebamo razgovarati, razgovarati i razgovarati.

Želimo izraziti našu podršku i solidarnost s našim ukrajinskim kolegama, umjetnicima, kulturnim akterima i svima onima koji pate u ovom besmislenom ratu. Pozivamo na mir. “Nek cijeli svijet bude pjesma”! /F.O./
